Lyrics

Coming from bad places going to worse
Out of pace and stuck in reverse
The first machine that she ever had
Got out of town and left her for

Dead or alive
Drink and a drive
Give me the knife
Do it
Right on the run
Bought her a gun
I need to jump
This ship

Looks like a shipwreck shuffle to me
Gone in a midnight whirlpool at sea
And if she didn't die
We'll wait until the light allows
the pirouette tonight

Seeking her revenge on all that is well
I hope the roses mask the smell
But not for now, she must refrain
Riding the waves of sorrow and

Painting the town
Bringing me down
Turning around
Right now
Doin' alright
Starting a fight
Here comes the night
She's out

[All these poisonous growths and evil
mutations shedding the frenzied and
sinister ravings of a female
imagination gone berserk — who are you to taunt me?!]

A dirty shipwreck shuffle indeed
Gone in a midnight whirlpool
full speed

And though she didn't die
We'll wait until the light allows
the pirouette tonight

About Yes Mother

This band came to life while touring with The Doors In Concert: a tribute band that takes pride in using authentic equipment from the sixties. We shared a love for the great sounds from that era and became friends along the ride. You can probably hear and feel some Doorsy influences in our sound. We don't even have a bassist! That's all Fender Rhodes, baby.
