We'll do it LIVE!
Yes Mother was initiated as a studio project. Safe, underground and independent. Unfortunately for us, we got curious about whether we could bring our music onto the stage. So here goes nothing, and no better place to try this than a venue that’s used to the ground shaking a little now and then.
The evening at a glance
For the practical minds among us:
- On February 7th, 2026 at Engelstede, Groningen
- Show at 20:00
- 45 minutes of Yes Mother material
- 45 more minutes of other shenanigans
- Tickets are €15,00 (excl. service fees)
- Only 100 tickets available
A psych evening awaits
On February 7th, we’re taking our strange sounds to the Engelstede near Groningen. We only have 45 minutes of album material, so we’ll pad the night with a handful of other sonic mischiefs, courtesy of our many years with The Doors In Concert. And if the stars align, the Mother herself may wander in and sprinkle a bit of extra magic over the evening. It’s intimate. It’s tight. It might get a little weird.
See you inside the tent.
About Yes Mother
Yes Mother is a psych rock band that harvests bygonely new sounds from legendary sixties instruments and analogue tape. The project began while its members were touring with The Doors In Concert, where a shared love for that era’s sound led them to write their own material. With no bassist (just a Fender Rhodes Piano Bass doing the heavy lifting) their music leans into warm analogue production, odd stories, and a surprising number of hidden easter eggs.
It all started with one quirky, carnivalesque track in 2014, which slowly grew into a full album crafted with love, misery, and stubborn dedication to doing things the old way. For years, Yes Mother remained a studio-only project, shaped by busy touring schedules and the belief that music can matter without ever hitting a stage. That’s why Yes Mother LIVE is special: it’s the first and only live show to date where this strange little universe is brought to life on stage.

You can probably hear and feel some Doorsy influences in our sound. We don't even have a bassist! That's all Fender Rhodes, baby.
